During the past five years, Tarkett has been implementing the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program worldwide in all its factories. It provides methods and training for continuous improvement in Best Manufacturing Practices to increase competitiveness, improve customer satisfaction, and demonstrate excellence in terms of safety and respect of the environment.
Our Supply Chain is organized around 3 main functions, with the ultimate objective to answer the needs and meet the expectations of our customers. Customer Service teams manage the orders and requests from all customers, and ensure a continuous follow-up. The Planning teams are responsible for organizing and planning the various steps of Supply Chain, from demand forecasts to stocks. Finally, the logistics teams are in charge of warehousing and transportation to optimize deliveries to customers.
The central Purchasing team has a responsibility for the strategic raw materials (PVC, plasticizers, etc) and some outsourced finished goods in order to develop long-term supply and industrial partnerships which are vital to the company. Local teams (at division and site levels) are responsible for a large base of services, materials and products. Their mission is to build strong relationships with suppliers, conduct tenders and organize supplies.
